Named after the Mandailing people, an ethnic group native to the region, this coffee is grown in the fertile soils of areas like Aceh and North Sumatra at altitudes of 1,100–1,500 meters. The region's humid climate and the traditional Giling Basah (wet-hulling) process create its signature full body, low acidity, and rich, earthy complexity. Expect deep notes of dark chocolate, cedar, and spice, complemented by hints of tobacco and dried fruit.
